bedlamsbardDesperately want to rewatch a large number of Disney movies, preferably ASAP. Sadly, I have none of them on DVD.
Last weekend -- uh, two weekends ago -- my fairy tales class went to the Dreams Come True: Art of the Classic Fairy Tales from the Walt Disney Studio exhibit at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Which mostly consisted of all the girls (and there are only three guys in the class) squealing, "OH MY GOD!" really loudly and desperately trying to get together a Disney viewing party, because dude, this is what we grew up with. The exhibit was really limited to only a few movies -- Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and The Princess and the Frog. The Princess and the Frog, of course, took up as much space as the rest of the others put together, but this is New Orleans, after all, and it's the most recent, so they have all the concept art and so on immediately at hand.
My favorite Disney movie is The Lion King, which I am kicking myself for not getting on DVD when it came out. The same goes for Aladdin. Also Mulan (though that one's available on DVD). (Yeah, I guess I'm not so much for classic Disney; I like them as much as the next girl, but OMG THE LION KING.) And The Princess and the Frog is going to be in my hands the second it comes out...uh, which is apparently now.
