Apr. 6th, 2010 11:23 amGuys -- I think my computer is allergic to New Orleans. Like, I was using it for a full ten days in Washington (well, okay, nine days; yesterday was spent in transit but it worked in SeaTac airport!), and it didn't freeze once. In fact, it worked perfectly! It was great! I wrote fic and I forgot to back it up because I wasn't constantly afraid it was going to explode!
Then I got back to campus last night, plugged it in, and I think it froze four or five times before finally settling down to business. Then, this morning, it froze somewhat more than five but probably less than ten times before I threw up my hands and finally went to class. I am afraid to go back to my dorm and try to open it again; I am at the library. Except I am terribly afraid that the thing has finally died, and my laptop CANNOT DIE I HAVE FOUR WEEKS OF SCHOOL LEFT, INCLUDING SIX PAPERS, THREE OF WHICH ARE TEN PAGES, AND MY SERVICE LEARNING PROJECT MUST BE DONE ON COMPUTER DEATH DEATH DEATH.
*weeps* (At this point, I think Tech Services would just look at it and laugh.)
ETA: Okay, took out the power strip, plugged it into a different socket, and -- it's working. I got nothin', guys.
