Holy shit, Fringe. *falls over* Um, is it September yet? I am ready for the next season!

1. I think I like Olivia blonde better than red-headed. Huh, when we saw alternate Olivia in (I think it was season one at the time?) another episode, wasn't she blonde? And Charlie had hair.

2. CHARLIE OMG OMG OMG OMG. <3

3. I couldn't recognize the other alternate Fringe agents; have we seen them on our side before? I was thinking that one of them had to be John Scott, but, uh, neither of them were. So -- who's the alternate John Scott? (I really need to get S1 on DVD and rewatch it, because I love this show like burning.)

4. Totally called Bell's death; I think it didn't help that I'd read elsewhere that William Bell was going to be Leonard Nimoy's last role.

5. I'm pretty sure I saw the switcheroo coming, too -- the fight between the two Olivias had to come, because hey, two people, exactly the same! They must fight. And I had a sinking feeling that after our Olivia dyed her hair red that the other side was going to try the same switch, but I was really hoping they hadn't -- the framing of the scene, from Bell's POV, was excellent. Although I'm really hoping that alternate!Olivia runs into Rachel and Ella, because that should be interesting.

They've done a pretty good job at humanizing alternate!Olivia so far, so I'm curious to see how she interacts with our world. My guess -- she's going to go in thinking it's corrupt and dangerous and all the things Walternate told her, but she's eventually going to be won over and return to her world. Or something of the sort. (I expect immense cynicism, followed by surprise. Also, I expect Rachel and Ella to be instrumental.)

6. On a similar note, I really liked the depth of history we got from the alternate Fringe team -- we didn't quite get as much as I would have liked, but given time constraints, I'm not surprised. Olivia and Agent Burned-to-a-Crisp and Charlie was sweet; you can tell they've worked together for quite some time.

7. Something about alternate Astrid struck me as off. It was -- I was expected her to be hooked into the computer, almost. Not a robot Astrid, but -- *flaps hands* I'm not quite sure how to describe it. But it could have just been her alternate role in the other universe.

8. Astrid, baking! I feel ya, Astrid. Although I'm not much of a pie girl myself, but I am a muffin and cake girl.

9. The use of the other cortexiphan children -- didn't quite work. They were there and gone too quickly.

10. If Olivia's power was to pass between universes, and they needed her to open a crack between the alternate world and our world, how were they able to do it with alternate!Olivia? Because if alternate!Bell and Walternate never met, then alternate!Olivia never would have met.

11. When they came back, and I saw Broyles coming up -- with alternate!Broyles' voice still fading -- I almost had a heart attack, because it didn't work! But then it was our Broyles.

12. Oh, shit, Olivia, honey. And Walternate is one crazy bastard. But oh, Peter's mother! Whose name I can't remember!

13. Alternate New York was so cool, if creepy like whoa because of the sheer invasion of privacy omg. I love alternate universes more than I can probably describe, so the whole arc of Fringe is the best thing ever for me.

14. ...I really hope Peter finds a letter or something from his mother (from this side) that explains her decision to keep him rather than have Walter take him back.

15. Not anything to do with this ep, but what happened with the other female FBI agent they introduced in the beginning of the season, the one who was crosschecking fringe events against the bible? She never showed up again, did she? So they either dropped her entirely, or they're going to bring her back for next season. With this show, I'd bet for the latter, because damn, they're good, but I don't know if anything's come out to the contrary.

16. Peter/Olivia! I love them a lot, either as lovers or friends. I think they make excellent partners. AND PETER HAD BETTER GO RESCUE HER. Or be there when she rescues herself, at least.

*fans self* Two season finales down, more to go. I'm not sure I can deal. What do I have left -- Lost, Criminal Minds, Big Bang Theory (although I don't expect this one to kill me), Dancing With the Stars (may kill me if Evan "the Robot" Lysacek wins), um...I'm not sure what Glee's doing, but I have no emotional involvement in this show whatsoever and only watch it for the music and the fail. (Seriously, why couldn't I have watched Bones instead of Glee? I got nothin', guys, nothin' at all. I'm still not sure why I didn't keep up with Bones and Supernatural this season; time, I guess.) I need to catch up with Caprica, but that's running on a different schedule anyway. Most of my favorite shows got cancelled last season, so at least I don't have to freak out about that. (One on each network -- CBS, NBC, and FOX. I will rant about this to anyone who wants to hear.) Still have not watched any of Friday Night Lights S4, which just started airing but which I am already behind on. Must catch up with Lost and Caprica; preferably Lost over the next two days so I can watch the series finale live on Tuesday.
