I am shoving once more at my Narnia playlist/fanmix-in-progress. Narnia, in this case, actually refers to the country and not the fandom in general -- in theory the playlist is supposed to be a "day in the life," and thus largely instrumental and chosen on mood. Which, because of my tastes in instrumental music, tends toward Celtic and folk. There are a couple of songs with lyrics on the list so far, but the vast majority of songs with lyrics are at the bottom of the playlist, which translates largely to "probably not going on the mix."

The slight disadvantage to all this is that eventually everything starts to sound the same. I had some Middle Eastern instrumentals on the playlist at one point, but most of them have come off because they don't sound Narnia-like enough.

...it's suddenly sunny. It is like a call to my blood to go bake. Yeah, I have no inclination whatsoever to bake when it's raining and miserable out, which is probably why I've barely baked at all the past few days. BUT IT IS SUNNY AND I NEED TO BAKE. *goes*

Hmm. Niyaz does some really nice music, although it's mostly vocal and instruments. Still, good stuff.

Well naturally Narnia is celtic and folk music! Was there every any question about that?

My Narnia-the-country music has a bit of choral music in it and I think one or two songs from church when I was a kid. But aside from that, it's celtic and folk all the way!

http://www.ilike.com/artist/Aeone - clips of songs to listen to...to give you an idea of her style.

There are some pieces with more lyrics than others, and a lot of them have very nice beats. *nods*
