Jun. 26th, 2010 10:52 pmIn non-robot related news, have finished S1 of Rome! Only slightly flawed by having my dad talk through the last five minutes of THE ENTIRE SEASON. I am a little annoyed by this. Must find S2 now! ...or possibly ruin the entire experience by trying to finish Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Actually, we need to finish watching S6 of Weeds and I am working my way through Prison Break (the prison break scene in Toy Story 3 is actually so much better than in Prison Break S1, I'll have you know) as background noise while working on The Novel with
In a week of classes, I have noticed that my ability to read new fiction and nonfiction (a.k.a. things I haven't read before) has utterly disintegrated, and I am left with reading cookbooks and sighing over the pretty pictures. (David Lebowitz? GREAT READING COOKBOOKS. No idea how it cooks up, though.) Also, my ability to write has disintegrated: also interesting. Slightly unfortunate, but at least it's only a six-week term and next weekend's a three day weekend. Date: 2010-06-27 07:15 am (UTC)Oooh! Although since The Family has been watching, I may have to Netflix. *dramatic sigh* (It really ruins the mood when you have to stop and explain who all the characters are and why they're important, because no one else has been paying attention. "That's Caesar." "That's Brutus." "That's not Brutus, that's Vorenus. He's that soldier?" "Is he the one who did Cleopatra? No, that's Pullo." "Is that Mark Antony?" "No, that's Pullo." "Who's that?" "That's Atia, Caesar's niece." And carry on ad infinitum FOR TWELVE EPISODES.)
