Oh, joy, I did get dropped from the Honors Program, although I think my GPA is high enough that if I ask very nicely, I may be able to remain. The cut-off is a 3.6; my cumulative GPA is a 3.572. That sounds close enough, right? The example they use in the e-mail is a 3.589, but a 3.572 should be close enough, hopefully? The two reasons I am really, really concerned about remaining in the Honors Program are (a) grad school and (b) all the cool classes are Honors, including Greek and Roman Magic, which I hadn't registered for yet and therefore cannot register for if I'm not in the program, since I can't specifically e-mail the professor because there is no professor listed. (Also, yes, I can't add it, I just tried, and now I hate the entire world.)

Now I must figure out how to phrase the e-mail. God, I hate everything right now, I have a geology test tomorrow and Latin homework tonight and I do not want to deal with this. I'm tired, and I'm stuck on campus, and my cousin may or may not be pregnant, and tomorrow I have lab which means I probably won't be home till 5:30, and I hate everything.

Do summer classes count towards your GPA? Like, could I use that as an argument? Because I'm definitely going to get an A out of Latin, and a B or an A in Geology. (At this point, I will get an A in Geology if it fucking kills me, which it may, from boredom. God, I should be studying right now.)

Your summer classes should count toward your GPA, so that would definitely be a good argument to use. If that doesn't work, perhaps you could get a testimonial from the professor of an Honors course you've already taken.

I don't know much about the US system, but summer classes sound like they ought to count! In addition, you can probably hold up your Latin-taking as a sign of dedication: even though you can't take latin two next semester, you could emphasise that, before you knew the class was cancelled, you were doing everything you could to take it. SRS AND DEDICATED BEDLAM.

In other news, I have decided your system sucks. The longer you take something, the more tolerant of fluff-ups your average is - this kick-you-out-as-soon-as-your-average-drops thing is unpleasant :(

Oh, ok, if you can't be kicked out until the end of soph year that sounds reasonable. :) I hope you sort out some way of getting back in!
