bedlamsbard: natasha romanoff from the black widow prelude comic (the die hard way (likefluffy))

Not being able to talk about my [livejournal.com profile] narniaexchange story while I am writing it is killing me, although, uh, if you saw me on Twitter fifteen minutes ago, well...I get to type the word "[redacted]" a lot.

*coughs* My impression of the story has gone from "OMG WHAT WILL I WRITE I do not know these characters or this time period or OMG THIS IS AWESOME I LOVE EVERYTHING." In other news, I am probably the least anonymous author in fandom, period.

(Note to self: Next year, float the idea at [livejournal.com profile] narniaexchange mod that specifying movieverse, bookverse, or both/either in the actual sign-up form might be a good idea (although it is mentioned in the rules), considering that Narnia fandom tends to divide sharply along movieverse/bookverse lines and those of us in movieverse tend to forget that some people really hate movieverse. Also because I tend to write from hybrid canon and some people REALLY hate that. I mean, I'd probably still say, "Hit me with either!" but it's the principle of the thing.

Also, next year, start writing before August begins.)

This whole movie-verse/bookverse divide is ... interesting. And difficult to navigate! It's my first experience with such a divided canon, and the idea that I have to choose which canon to follow is annoying! At least so far the differences have mostly come down to minor facts and questions of hair-color... ::handwaves::

I suspect that after the next movie comes out there will be a much higher wall between book- and movie-verses. Huh.
