I hate everything in the world. Freaking out because what if my bag is overweight! There is nothing I can take out of it because I packed only necessities! (Guys, I packed no books in my checked bag; all my books are in my carry-on. Also two of them are Latin books.) Also have you seen United's overweight fees? MADNESS!

You know what is even worse? Printed out my boarding pass. My name. Is wrong. ON MY FUCKING BOARDING PASS. WHAT IF THEY DO NOT LET ME ON THE PLANE OMG. It is printed as [LAST NAME], KATRINAMMS. Guys. My name is not Katrinamms, my name is Katrina! I can vaguely understand where they got the extra letters (middle initial, "Ms."), but not why they tacked them on there and I am seriously worried that United will not let me on the fucking airplane. Will panic at the ticket counter tomorrow morning, approximately six a.m. Unless calling now would help?

In conclusion, I am going to run out of yarn before I finish Haruni, which means I shall either have to rip out the entire thing or buy more yarn. My last lifeline is about eight rows above where I'd have to rip out too in order to have enough yarn (I think). See again: hate entire world.

At some point in the last year or so, I know I flew as LAURAMS. I was freaked out about it when the ticket printed too, but no one even gave it a funny look.

I had the same problem when I flew in February, except it was my last name. But I had my driver's license and my passport and I had no problems.

Yeah, United mangled my name, too, when I flew last month. And I was using the frighteningly easy-to-manage-for-English-speakers version I use for work, too!

Do you have a sturdy cardboard box you could fill with sundry necessities and UPS to your destination (or get your folks to ship to you on Monday)? We have taken to UPSing and parcel posting stuff back lately in lieu of dealing with stupidity from airlines.

Man, I got my ticket and all my e-mails through Continental, and still! AIRLINES. SUCK.

I've already shipped a couple boxes via USPS (my textbooks actually arrived a couple days ago; unfortunately, I have not yet arrived), so hopefully everything will turn out! If I end up overweight, I will start pulling things out of my suitcase and handing them to my mother. (Seriously, though, most things are clothes! How did it end up that heavy! PLEASE GODS OF TRAVEL -- Hermes? Poseidon?)
