Ah, those lovely moments when I'm sorting through unposted fic, quite a bit of which dates back to 2008, and going, "Hey, this one's pretty good! TOO BAD THERE'S NOT MORE OF IT." Or the alternate, "Hey, this one's pretty good! TOO BAD I NEED TO COMPLETELY REWRITE IT." Or the always lovely, "Wow, I don't feel that way about the characters anymore."

Huh, wow, I totally thought I had less of Old Timber to New Fires than I actually do (15K). On the other hand, I am no longer as thrilled by it as I used to be, for various reasons. (Old Timber to New Fires: the one where I thought, "ahaha, you know what would be AWESOME? If Caspian accidentally traveled back in time to the Golden Age and was BLOWN AWAY by how awesome Narnia was back then, and was really bewildered by grown-up Pevensies." The thrill wore off, though.)

Oh, hey, I found the sudden attack by ninja assassins fic! And the one where Susan is kidnapped and then stalks through the castle killing people silently and suddenly. Huh, these are both where I start dipping into the Narnia-with-money-troubles sideline.

Oh, man, I don't know if I have the strength to pull up Be Like Water (the always-a-girl!Peter/Caspian rewrite of PC, 70K, requires significant edits).

Let's not even get into Till Human Voices Wake Us, which has been rewritten, or started being rewritten, so many times it makes me twitch just thinking about it. (One of the main reasons it never went up is because of timeline inconsistences between it and In a Dry Month, which was begun around the same time but finished before Voices. I'd prefer to set Voices before In a Dry Month, but the Guard doesn't match up, so it requires significant rewrites for continuity purposes. Dude, if I can do rewrites for continuity, why can't network TV?)

I haven't heard of this one yet, but that sounds really cool! Your Susan is made of awesome. :-)
