also my back really hurts
Oct. 24th, 2010 09:16 amOkay, I think we can definitely say that at least some of the back pain is period-related. OW OW OW I went to bed with my back hurting and I woke up with my back hurting and for whatever reason this never responds to painkillers. (And yes, I tried. Cramps respond, back doesn't.)
Also, gee, let's think about why I might be reluctant to call home when one of my roommates has admitted to listening in on my phone conversations. When called upon it, she said, "So, okay, I won't bring it up anymore, do you want me to just sit on the couch and listen or what?" LADY I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU DO. Leave the apartment! Put on headphones! Turn on the television! Distract yourself from the riveting spectacle of me crying to my mother and talking about my old high school teachers! Me calling home is not part and parcel of your public entertainment; there is a reason I do it in my room with my door closed! You can tell me I'm illogical for wanting people to do their damn dishes as soon as they use them because I've never lived with people in an apartment setting before, but you have no idea about phone etiquette? She is not even here this weekend and I am still reluctant to call home, despite the fact that I'm pretty sure the other two DON'T CARE. (Actually, I know Texas doesn't, I've lived with her before.)
On the bright side this has more or less eclipsed my outrage over the dishes. On the flip side I AM RELUCTANT TO PHONE HOME AND COMPLAIN ABOUT IT which I was not about the dishes situation.

Date: 2010-10-24 07:46 pm (UTC)(listening in to other people's phone calls is creepy and weird and only ok if you everyone knows that the caller is calling to speak to a group. ex: my friend who moved to NYC earlier this year will call when a certain friend group is together and we'll pass the phone around. or do a video skype. 2nd ex: deployed relatives calling on holidays. though it is ok to go to another room for a private conversation like when my cousin's wife told him she was pregnant before telling the rest of the family while he was in the sandpit.)
