I have to say, I find it irritating when my friends decide to order food...then, twenty minutes later, after doing gods know what, decide not to order food because it takes too long to arrive. Which leaves me going, "WTF I could have finished my paper made dinner watched half an episode of Rome," and still craving yummy pesta tortellini.

*hands* I wasn't particularly hungry then, but I am now. To finish my paper or to make dinner, that is the question...

I really wanted to make molasses spice cookies, or some kind of cookie with a big spice kick, but then I realized that I, um, don't have molasses. And almost all spice cookies (ginger crinkles... *sigh*) require molasses. Argh. *headdesk* Trip to the store tomorrow, if I have time and the weather agrees.

Clearly they don't know Proper Food Ordering Etiquette, in which case once it's decided food is to be ordered, it SHALL BE ORDERED! There are no take-backs in takeout.

Molasses spice cookies sound absolutely delicious.

I was very annoyed! We spent around 20-30 minutes debating what to order, and then one roommate went to get her computer to check her bank balance and then the menu, and then they both looked at each other and went, "Actually, we don't want to wait," and went to the dining hall. Naturally I did not end up eating dinner for another two hours; I was working on my paper. Bah, I say, bah.

They are! Although I cannot find the recipe I used last year; I did two different ones last Christmas that were virtually identical except one used shortening and the other used vegetable oil, and I can find the shortening one but not the oil one. *pouts* Well, it will turn up eventually.

If they can spend that long debating about what to order, then they could certainly wait long enough for food to arrive. This calls for a Food Ordering Wheel of Fortune or perhaps a Food Ordering Dartboard. Leave up the deciding to chance and everyone gets fed. :p

Hopefully you'll find it soon because an opportunity to make cookies is a terrible thing to waste. Now I just want cookies...
