bedlamsbardI have felt really useless all day, despite the fact that I have DONE THINGS, like the reading for most of my Vikings paper and actually writing said paper. (Well, most of said paper, I have about a paragraph to go.) I have not, however, gone outside, because it was raining and also the temperature dropped twenty degrees between yesterday and today. I needed to go to Whole Foods to get things like chicken stock (for turkey leftovers) and jam (for me), but see again: rain. Thus, indoors all day, leading to me feeling completely useless. I was also really productive yesterday, aside from anything school-related, so I think that contributed. I kept stopping today and going, "By this time yesterday, I'd already done my laundry, baked a dozen mini pumpkin pies and twenty-five yeast rolls and Henry and Hotspur were both prepped and in the oven! So far today I have made lunch, read about Vikings, spent money on Black Friday yarn, knit, and watched a lot of documentaries on dinosaurs and also Bones. I HAVE DONE NOTHING WITH MY LIFE."
Also I'm still having on and off breathing problems; who the fuck forgets to breathe? Like, if I'm actually doing something instinct kicks in (obviously, since I didn't die during the night), but the moment I stop and think about it, or if I'm not doing something productive (or sometimes if I am; it depends how involved it is), the breathing issues come back. Look, if this is how my body has decided to cope with stress in the days after the lockjaw, it is making me more stressed out.
