Three good things right now.

1. Fresh, sweet, local strawberries.

2. Laundry in washing machine -- I almost never do laundry during the week, but I went to put it in today and this is the first time I've ever been in the laundry room after it's been cleaned (usually I do laundry Saturday mornings), and it's nice and organized and there aren't dirty socks or underwear or stray detergent bottles strewn around and it makes me smile. And I didn't have to fight anyone for a washer.

3. Nice sunny 73 F day out. Gorgeous.

I'll say this for New Orleans, it's a whackjob of a city, but sometimes it makes up for it.

When I lived in the dorms in college I always did laundry at 7:30 tuesday or thursday morning. One of the calmest parts of my week.

*nods* I'm not usually awake at 7:30 -- I usually do my laundry at 8:00 or 8:30 on Saturday mornings, because there aren't taht many people awake then unless your timing's just really off, but man. I don't have class on Tuesday between 11:00 and 3:30, I could get used to this. (I find doing laundry very soothing. I also find making my bed very soothing. What can I say?)

I like doing dishes when they are my own dishes. (This semester has possibly permanently added the prefix "goddamn" to the word "dishes.")

Ah, yes. I remember those feelings well. If it helps, I've been out of college for less than a year and already the rage blackouts over other people being goddamn slobs raised in a barn have faded to the point where I can laugh about it.
