bedlamsbard: natasha romanoff from the black widow prelude comic (the die hard way (likefluffy))

You know, I love the fact that for whatever reason, my senior year course schedule is such that I could totally graduate in December 2011 (instead of May 2012) as long as I can get my capstones and my public service requirement in, but because I'm trying to fit in language classes and my honors thesis (which requires a full year, basically the reason I'm staying) and my classics capstone and the public service requirement (if they ever put up a class that is even vaguely relevant to my life), I'm going to end up with a course overload. Which sucks.

I mean, I could not take classes that are relevant to my interests -- in other words, drop the two MEMS classes I'm looking at, Chaucer and Later Medieval Spain, but that seems like it might not look very good on a grad school app. I'm a bit frustrated because language classes are 4 credits each and I'm going to be taking at least two (Latin 2030 and Greek 1010 (or 2030, if I end up taking Greek this summer), the honors thesis is 3, and I need to take a classics capstone (3, again, unless I switch back to doing a dual-major thesis, which would...actually not help, as I need to take a 4000-level classics class anyway, which is what the capstone is). I could hold off on doing a classics capstone or my public service until spring, but I don't know what will be offered, and right now a prof that I have been told I Must Have A Recommendation From If I Wish To Get Into A Roman History Program is teaching a capstone class (Ancient Slavery and Society). Erk. I am not that happy with waiting on requirements until the last semester of senior year.

Obviously the answer is to confer with all three of my advisors and every professor who I am on speaking terms with in order to determine what is necessary for graduation + grad school. I shall start making appointments.
