bedlamsbardI feel bad because I haven't updated Bloody Sunday in so long. It's not that I don't still love it, but I'm really trying to work on my original fiction. I really have no overpowering need to work on my CSI:NY fic, which is kind of what I need to write. And, yeah, I feel bad. So I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, I just have, well, real life and other stuff to do.
Also! I am on a search for Stargate SG-1 Season Two. Somebody cleared Fred Meyer out of everything but Season Five (yes, I live in the middle of nowhere, Fred Meyer is what we call the mall and the closest thing we have to one, do be quiet).
And, on a completely different note, I totally figured out my major kink.
Alternate dimensions.
Stick my babies in a different world where everything's screwed up the hooplah and the world's about to end? I am so there. Possible future where the world's covered in ice and there are mammoths roaming around on the lawn of the White House? Ditto. Alternate dimension where someone died in childbirth and aliens are attacking us all right now? Hearts!
I love seeing the possibilities when one little thing is skewed a little off-kilter and the repercussions that follow off that. I've used 'em in my original fiction. I've seen 'em in fanfic. I've seen 'em in TV (which is where this came off of; I just saw the Stargate SG-1 first season ep "There But For the Grace of God"). And they're cool. It's even more fun when they throw the ordinary characters through to see the messed-up-ness that results.
Yeah, there was no real point to that.
