fringe 2.21
Apr. 30th, 2011 11:32 amOH MY GOD FRINGE. If this had been the season finale I MAY HAVE EXPIRED RIGHT AT MY DESK AN HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE MY SHAKESPEARE FINAL.
So Peter is now in -- a future, we won't call it the future. The datestamp on the memorial is September 11, 2021, which means he is now sometime after 2021. (I misread it the first time and had to go back and rewatch; I thought he'd ended up in an altverse 2001, but then saw the...Liberty Tower? I don't think it was named, and got confused.)
FLAIL. "Agent Bishop." I am calling ANOTHER alternate universe -- my pet theory throughout this episode was that Peter had gotten his brain switched with a Peter from Yet Another Alternate Universe. Which I guess could still be true! Though probably not. (Other theory: regression to young Peter, especially with "I AM GOING HOME" on the envelope.)
I would like the big dramatic reveal of the season finale to be that there are LOTS MORE ALTERNATE UNIVERSES, not just the two we've seen. (Which I think is actually a strong possibility, though I'm not sure they've been building to it well enough.)
Er, er, on other notes that are not the last three minutes of the episode -- WHY THE MUSEUMS, WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE MUSEUMS. I sympathize with the curator way too much there, and also Sam Weiss! Aside from the ~Conspiracy, Sam Weiss trying to calm himself down by reading ancient gossip = sudden moment of kinship.
I WOULD LIKE IT TO BE NEXT WEEK PLEASE. Wait, no, I don't, next Saturday I shall be panicking and moving out and I'm just not ready for that yet.
