bedlamsbardToday aella_irene and I got sort of lost in Cambridge! Or on the outskirts of Cambridge, anyway. There was a lot of getting lost today. First I got lost trying to find the bus station, although I did eventually do so, but in which we missed the first bus. And then we did not get lost finding Anglesey Abbey (which was lovely, and we got to see the clock with the automata) but did get lost trying to find the Plough and eventually gave up and just followed the Cam back to Cambridge proper because at this point, we'd already missed E's race. Fortunately there were a lot of signs that said "City Centre this way", and fortunately I know how to navigate (sort of) from the city center. The really sad thing is that I insisted we go the exact opposite direction from where the Plough actually was. Repeatedly. Clearly no one should actually listen to me give directions when I don't actually know where I'm going, because this is, like, the fourth time this has happened, and the second today. I did want to see Bumps, but I guess it would help if I went towards it instead of opposite. (I just...yeah.) Maybe at some point in my life I should get a map of Cambridge. It might help. Or I could try not being an idiot, but hey, where's the fun in that?
Awesome day anyway. Pity I have class tomorrow. Pity I did no studying on my study day. Apparently I am going up to London on Saturday, so perhaps I should, uh, actually get hold of a map of London. Since I will be by myself, and this could end horribly. And...perhaps I should actually consider putting money/minutes on my phone. Since some of my directional problems could probably be solved if I could communicate with people.
Also, today I did spill something on myself. But it was only tea, it wasn't boiling, and it wasn't much tea. And it was at the end of the night.

narniaexchange fic. I can't say anything about it, because it's SO RANDOM that I'm pretty sure only I could write it. (Well, maybe not. I don't read in the fandom, so maybe other people are random as well. Heh. Random fandom.)
