Jan. 14th, 2012 07:26 pmSo today I bought a suitcase! As far as I can tell, it is this one, only mine is -- well, it says "deep pink", but it is actually more purple. It was also slightly more expensive, but I did get it immediately, so there's that. I've been looking for a little carry-on suitcase for a while, so this is nice. And Samsonite should last forever, right?
(I like my luggage obnoxious so I don't go home with someone else's black suitcase. My big suitcase has giant polka dots on it.)

As of five pm tomorrow, I'm going to be in transit back to NOLA. It is also due to snow (FINALLY DEAR SWEET GODS BUT DOES IT HAVE TO BE THE DAY I'M LEAVING) tomorrow. Hopefully the Pass doesn't close and I make it to Sea-Tac all right. I don't really want to be in transit, because ugh, I hate traveling and I'm not too keen on going back to school, either. (Yeah, yeah, yeah, everybody's already back in school, my dad's school's been on for two weeks already, whatever. I ran into a HS friend the other day and she was all, "What are you doing here?" "Uh...I'm actually still on vacation.")
Also...I'm not sure I remember the keycode for my door. So this could be a problem.
*
Now I'm thinking about library school. Well, there are a lot more jobs available for librarians than there are for classicists or medievalists, even if rumor is the market's over-saturated.
(I may have had a fight/argument/discussion with my parents. "Just follow your plan, Kachan!" "I don't have a plan, you have a plan! I have a number of things I am interested in, but you don't seem to understand that there are multiple things, even though I bring it up like every day!" So that may have finally gotten across, for a change, since my dad just sat me down and told me about his long winding road towards getting his MATESL (or however it's abbreviated).)

Date: 2012-01-15 06:19 am (UTC)I hope that traveling doesn't become an epic journey for you. Nice and easy is definitely preferable, even if you don't want to go back to school.
Library school must be the best school ever, seriously.
Good for you for standing up for what you want!

I have been thinking about library school on and off for a while, since I like libraries, and I like books, so...
