Today I bought more shoes. One was another pair of booties -- similar to my heeled oxfords, but a different color and a higher heel, which, oh my god, I'm going to have to figure out how to walk in a 4-inch heel (which means I'm, like, almost as tall as a normal person! Or a giant if I ever wore them in Japan) -- and the second a pair of Born heeled sandals, because I saw "Born", checked that they fit, and pounced. I've been sorting shoes at Metro and for some reason there were several pairs of Born sandals in the kids' shoes, and I know enough about shoes to tell good quality when I handle it. (Mostly.) I also bought a shirt, which is not at all interesting, because my default for shirts is button-ups.
I am still sad that the pair of Frye boots at Funky Monkey were a size smaller than my feet. Maybe even half a size. On the other hand, I need more sheos like I need a hole in the head. There were some really cute skirts at the Funky Monkey, but at the time I didn't feel like trying anything on and my waist-size is...small. And shifting. (I have skirts that I bought over the summer that I can't wear now. *twitches*) Also I have that issue with how I don't like wearing skirts shorter than about an inch above the knee. (I got rid of a dress that was about two inches above the knee by trading it to Chicago in return for dinner. Hey, I wasn't going to wear it, we're roughly the same size, and also, dinner. I probably made out better, because I think the pizza was about twice as much as I paid for the dress, since I got it at Goodwill.)
Also there was food, and it was good. Joey K's has really good jambalaya.
