So my computer is having some kind of hysterical fit and is no longer functioning even enough for me to get it to a place that I can do a restore to some previous setting. So thanks for that, universe. (It...keeps checking some disk? Or something? I dunno, man. I may live on my computer, but I don't actually know that much about it.)

My history paper is backed up, but I've got stuff on there that isn't, including music and 2300 words of the latest chapter of Bad Moon Rising. Also, finals is in three weeks? I would prefer to have a functioning computer? (AND I WAS PLANNING TO BUY A NEW ONE AFTER I GRADUATED, I HATE YOU WORLD.)

At this point it is just off in hopes that it will magically fix itself while I am not staring at it crying. I don't know if Tech Services is open tomorrow since we have Monday off for Easter, but I guess I'll find out then. Ugh, because it's not like I don't spend *most of my life* on my computer in one way or another.

Based on my past experiences, usually what happens if you leave your computer on is that the computer runs through the disk check (which sometimes takes a long time), decides everything's okay, reboots, and goes into Windows (or whatever) without a problem. It's only if it says something like "hey, there's no disk here" or "whoops, that one file you need to run Windows is corrupted" that it's really a problem. Which, since you're not me, is probably not going to be an issue for you.
