*hyperventilates* So it's Week in New Orleans and, oh my gods, there are tall ships in town -- AWESOME -- and one of them is the USCG Eagle. As in, the USCG Eagle from Island in the Sea of Time. As in, a ship that apparently isn't actually fictional but is from one of my favorite series ever and IT IS IN TOWN AND THERE ARE TOURS. This is like being able to tour the Galactica or the Enterprise or the Dawn Treader. *explodes from sheer excitement*

(I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to go see it, since I hear it's useful to do homework once in a while? BUT THE EAGLE.)

ETA: And apparently the pirates are in town this week/end too, because obviously. Like I could make this up.

go see the ship early in the day and do homework when you get home. boom. problem solved.

i saw all three ships last night! the eagle is pretty cool, but my favorite is the indonesian ship out there because of all the pretty carving work on it. (no seriously you could plop it in golden age narnia and it would fit in.)

the eagle leaves friday morning, so if you want to see it you should go thursday night. it's open until 7pm.

Depending on when I get out of class today, I'll try and go this evening, which is cutting it a little close, but I could never get another chance! And feelings! I should have gone yesterday, but for whatever reason I was so out of it that I ended up skipping two classes. So I am crossing my fingers that I have time.
