Suddenly I want the story where post-RotS Anakin, instead of fading into the Force, is thrown back through time to the Clone Wars, where he wakes up in his old body, before everything's gone completely to hell, somewhere in the field with Obi-Wan and a bunch of clones, doing their thing, fighting the Separatists, you know, same old, same old. And Anakin is -- okay, traumatized, obviously, he just spent twenty years as goddamn Darth Vader and was really hoping it would all go away with the turning back to the light side and the dying and all -- and confused, and of the vague opinion that the Force must want him to make everything right. Then he makes out with Obi-Wan. (Except probably not, because it's, like, impossible for me to actually write a makeout scene in a fic.)

Time travel! I approve! (Certain kinds of timetravel are, like, my bulletproof literary kink, especially Someone Who Has Learned ALL The Lessons Relives Their Life. You do not want to know how many poorly-written Harry Potter fics with that premise I have read and enjoyed, since it's one of the few fandoms to have it in quantity.)

Also, I blame you for the random genderswap subplot that popped up in my fic planning recently. Credit? It's actually probably going to make some issues easier to work out, but I don't generally read OR write it, so I kind of have mixed feelings about it.

Time travel is a thing that, in theory, I really like, but in practice is sort of exhausting to write because there's so much going on. Although I've got like five time travel plot bunnies for Star Wars, so, uh. (When you have a fandom that spans, like, thirty-five years and several generations and a genocide and several wars, these things, they happen. I have two or three separate scenarios for Luke, Leia, and Han to end up in the middle of the Clone Wars and Anakin and Obi-Wan to turn up in the middle of the OT.)

I would only ever actually write timetravel in a fandom that has a pre-canon period that has basically nothing going on in it. Sure, eventually you have to get to the part where everything's going on, but by then you'll have built up enough steam for it not to be overwhelming (well, okay, technically I wrote that timetravel fic in the DCU, to which that condition does not apply, but I got around it by making Dick *want* things to turn out the same, and thus staying away from the crazy stuff). I only have 2 time travel plot bunnies right now, both Supernatural (one of which has this fun situation with a woman going "wait, I know I only gave birth to one child. Why do I suddenly have twins?!" and then having to convince the authorities that in fact, one of them is new)
