Okay, at this point, "water trickster demon" is actually the only reasonable explanation.

Pump's busted. (Or...something.) And it's the weekend, so no one's getting called out. Which means no water. (We're not on city water, we're on well water.)

Frankly I think I'd rather have something leaking, because then at least we'd have water.

use salt, cold iron, or a hot coal near/on the affected area to make the unwanted spirit go away. windchimes will also work. or you can put out a saucer of milk or booze and hope appeasement will make it go away.

one of my books talks about how you can get a well to produce water again by walking around it seven times on your knees and dropping a smooth round stone each pass.

if it followed you from nola i'd try the booze first.

Make sure it's good booze. I tried to get rid of a water trickster once with cheap shit and the sink exploded.

they didn't have pumps when the advice was written down, so i think you'd have to do it at the well itself.
