So today I decided to enter the 21st century and took the baby laptop to the UoL library to try and get some work done. (Which I did, because I'm still trying to be a Good Student, except that effort might have gone slightly better if I hadn't remembered at the last minute that I also had to read something else. GENIUS.) This doesn't sound like a big deal -- and, okay, it isn't -- except that this is the first time I've ever taken a laptop to the university library. Ever. I never did at Tulane because...honestly I have no idea why. Anything I had to do on a computer I was fine working on in my room or on one of the library computers, I guess. And my normal laptop is too much hassle to haul around, which is why I got the netbook in the first place. (Not that I particularly like working on the netbook, mind, the keyboard and the screen are both too small for comfort. I guess I mostly have it so I have a backup when my laptop inevitably goes down.)

Pretty much the only news in Leicester right now is Richard III-related. I expect the only news in Leicester for the next week will be Richard III-related, given that the Big Announcement is tomorrow. And of course I'm in the School of Archaeology and Ancient History, and that is kind of our thing... Although my stubbornness is still in full fling, and I refuse to learn anything about Richard III just because he's a Big Deal in Leicester. I was briefly willing to earlier today when the radio was supposed to have Richard Armitage (who is from Leicester!) on talking about Richard III, but alas, he had to cancel, and my interest was lost again. (No, there's no reason for me not to be interested except that I'm a stubborn bitch. It's the same reason that my parents tell me to do something and even if it's exactly what I want to do I immediately no longer want to. Pretend that sentence made sense.)

Ha ha, yeah, I saw part of the press conference. Also I woke up this morning and 99% of my Twitter feed was Richard III because it was in the middle of the press conference.
