Oof. As if yesterday wasn't Monday-ish enough -- I had to run my laundry through the dryer THREE TIMES, and didn't have time to fold it before going to class, and only ended up folding it around ten pm, ugh -- today decided to be EVEN MORE Monday-ish. Which is less than helpful, given that it's Tuesday.
I slept funny and woke up with not only my back hurting, but my wrist hurting -- I still have no idea what I did to it, but it was bad enough that I took some Advil in hopes that it would help. Usually painkillers don't touch my back pain, but since I'm reasonably certain this was caused by my truly terrible mattress (I wonder if I could get Maintenance to replace it?) I was hopeful. Then I baked biscuits, and managed to simultaneously burn and undercook them. Our oven is...special. I'm not feeling terribly hopeful for my upcoming king cake experiment. I followed that up by drinking four cups of black tea and giving myself caffeine jitters: AWESOME. At least I didn't fall over during class; I came back and almost crashed while making dinner. Fortunately this time I burned neither myself nor dinner. Or get curry or coconut milk or rice all over the counter, or drop the chicken on the floor. (Let's not talk about the time I exploded a can of coconut milk. Yeah...)
Pretty much my goal this semester is to only do 50% of the things at the last minute instead of 97% of the things. Let's not get crazy here. Not failing out of grad school would be nice, too.
