adventures in art

There are some things I always run into every time I settle in to hunt down the original links for my art rec posts: that pairing I don't ship (sigh), surprise sex scenes (various pairings), Battle of the Five Armies death art (EVERY TIME), art I haven't seen before (yay!), something completely bewildering, art and/or GIFs that becomes 100% more touching or 100% more hilarious according to whatever's on iTunes at the time, or some combination of the above. Occasionally I run across something from one of my other fandoms, which is always really weird because I'm deep in Tolkien headspace and then SURPRISE NARNIA. (This has happened a couple of times recently, including tonight, when I did in fact get four of the above while looking for the FIRST LINK. I need a bingo card or something.) (BTW, since I typed this, I also found more of the general stuff I run across: AU King Fili, half-naked dwarves, AU dwarves, genderswapped dwarves, cat!dwarves, hipster modern dwarves, sexy blacksmith dwarves, and YET MORE BotFA art. I'm just saying, this fandom has something for everything.)
Tonight's theme is: young dwarves! The only members of the Company that I haven't run across for this set are Oin and Gloin, but, aside from scenes with Gloin and Gimli, they are also the least represented of the Company. So that's something interesting I've found in my extensive viewing of Hobbit art. So no Oin and Gloin here, and no Ori, since I decided to have Nori and Dori instead and the ages don't overlap enough for that. Next time! (And there's definitely enough for me to do a next time.)
