Bottom of the River is actually my NaNo novel this November, making it the first time I've done NaNo in four years. (The last time was 2008, my freshman year of college, and every November after that I was neck deep in academic hell.) So far it has already passed Dirt in the Machine in length, and will definitely pass Bad Moon Rising when I finish the current WIP chapter (River 5. I'm aiming for 10K per chapter just to have a nice round number for NaNoing purposes).

Summary:
Murder, mayhem, and mistaken identity! When a body turns up in Coruscant's underworld with a very familiar face, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker are dispatched to investigate the case. Newly returned from the front lines of the Clone Wars, the two Jedi find themselves in a deadly game of cat and mouse: but are they the hunters or the hunted?
“Anakin?” Obi-Wan’s voice said. “You’re being uncharacteristically quiet. Is something wrong?”
“Just thinking about might-have-beens, Master.”
“Dwelling on lives that never were gains nothing but regret, my young Padawan,” Obi-Wan said, and in her voice Anakin heard the memory of countless sleepless nights spent reviewing the mistakes of their shared past. He had more than a few of his own, many recently.
“Yeah,” he said, the words heavy on his tongue. “I know.”
Obi-Wan made a sympathetic noise, made tinny by the comlink. “We are where the Force means us to be, Anakin.”
