Sep. 7th, 2014 03:26 pmSick. Sick, sick, sick. The second week of school -- going into the third -- is definitely not the best time to get sick. Not that there's ever a good time. And I'm not quite sick enough to be comfortable not going to class, unfortunately.
*hacks up lung*
(Actually, to be fair, I can't think of a single time that I've ever been sick enough to be comfortable not going to class because I have "you are a failure if you admit weakness" tattooed on my forehead. I think it did happen once, but I'm not positive, and I know a couple of times I went to class when I definitely should not have because foreign languages make even less sense on a fever. I have no idea if teachers actually appreciate students coming to class sick or not, but the alternative is getting even further behind than I already am.)
I can't even take cold medicine because the last time I did I got so dizzy I couldn't walk in a straight line, which is...not useful. I need to at least be cogent because I have to do work.

Date: 2014-09-08 02:09 am (UTC)I can speak with great authority that professors at your school DO NOT LIKE SICK PEOPLE IN CLASS! Allergies, hang-overs, broken arms, and the like are one thing...but contagious sickes? No. Please dear sweet baby Jesus no.
Also, I hope you feel better! Knowing your tea and pho habits, you will be back in no time. (Science says hot tea and hot soup are good for our bodies and promote healing! Yay!)
