So, on Sunday, my AC died.

On Monday, the neighbors on the other side of the creek had tree-trimmers all day cutting down the trees that overhang the creek. The branches and logs all ended up in the creek. We also had a heat advisory.

On Monday night/Tuesday morning, my internet died. There were heat records tied in Atlanta (tying a date from 1925).

On Tuesday evening, my AC got fixed. The AT&T tech never showed for the appointment, and I spent the night on live chat with an AT&T online tech (using my neighbor's wifi) troubleshooting without success, and finally got another appointment set up for today.

Today, Wednesday, the AT&T tech showed and fixed my internet -- an animal had chewed through the cord. (I'm on fiber.)

The creek is still full of logs. I'm going to have to text my landlord and ask him to contact the landlord of the place on the other side of the creek (an apartment building), because with the way the creek is now, if we get serious rain there's a better than average chance the creek is going to flood. I'm a country girl. I know these things.

I'm sure my landlord is sick of hearing from me at this point, because in the past two months I've had to contact him about: Handyman Hell, the electrician, more handyman nonsense, the washing machine, detailed pictures of the washing machine, the missing screen from the front porch that the handymen removed and never replaced, the electrician again, the washing machine again, the sump pump, the sump pump again, the handymen, the electrician, the AC dying, the pipe under the kitchen sink dripping, and the logs/creek situation when it originally happened. Also, my rent. SORRY, JOHN, BUT TO BE FAIR, THE HANDYMEN CAUSED 75% OF THESE PROBLEMS. And the electrician fixed all the stuff that the handymen had either broken or left undone. YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT, THE ELECTRICIAN FIXED THE SUMP PUMP, THE WASHING MACHINE, AND MY SCREEN DOOR. A week and a half ago. Yes, this all started the first week of July.

I was talking to the neighbor on the other side of the duplex yesterday, and she says that the handymen actually painted her windows shut. She hasn't told Landlord John yet because she thinks it's fairly minor, and at that point I was like, "please tell John, I'm pretty sure that at this point he thinks I'm just paranoid because he's hearing from me every week."

also, yes, I am paranoid and this summer brought my anxiety to new and terrifying heights -- I'm literally clocking every time the fridge cycles because I'm terrified it's going to die -- but also a lot of this is stuff that's actually wrong!

anyway. I'm very tired and since it's my comps semester you'd think I'd be stressed and anxious about graduate school but NO! I DON'T HAVE THE ENERGY FOR THAT BECAUSE I'M WORRYING ABOUT THE HOUSE!

here's my casual Sabine from Dragon Con if you made it through all of that.
