Slightly late to the party, but I will point out the
3-Sentence-Ficathon! Multifandom! Unlimited prompts and replies! Go, go, go!
(
aella_irene: I almost wrote a prompt from Ingvar. Then I remembered that other people don't know about that. Alas. Also, good thing my memory's still working, huh?)
In other news: failed NaNo, co-writing a novel, knitting socks. Poking tentatively at Dust 18; it has been long enough that I can step back and do the big picture thing (also, I am back to writing gen, for those interested. There is more than enough porn in the original). Last week of classes; finals start next week. Writing a paper on identity and masks and pseudonyms in
Ruth Hall; writing another paper about the end of the British Mandate and why there is an Israeli state and not a Palestinian one. Still do not understand Japanese, but I have two more classes and a final and then I am DONE DONE DONE. And two non-Japanese finals, one after another. One is on a Saturday. I find this cruel and unusual punishment. May or may not have a cold; am somewhat unsure on this subject. Drinking up the last of the jasmine pearl before I switch to oolong. Thoughtfully eyeing the non-school-related stack of books checked out from the library because I like that sort of thing. Trying to remind self to pay visit to study-abroad office before the end of the semester. Third rewrite of novel will begin after finals.
Non-related fact: I have a really inappropriate reaction to sea shanties, apparently, after that period of several weeks where I wrote
The Coastwise Lights and listened to nothing but. Also, wrote a bunch of Narnian sea shanties. Therefore, sea shanties = Narnia.
In conclusion: my Black Friday shopping has made it clear I am not allowed to spend money on anything else ever for the rest of the year. Except food. And
Southern Candymakers. And Christmas cards.
ineptshieldmaid,
aella_irene (do you want an alligator, a fleur-de-lis, or a crawfish? chocolate, of course),
snacky (do you want one?), they may be somewhat late, since I have to get down to the Quarter to buy them and I don't know when that will happen.
You know, in case any of y'all wondered what I'd been doing with my life. Writing a novel, trying not to flunk out of college, and knitting, mostly.
