bedlamsbard: natasha romanoff from the black widow prelude comic (battle (timeless-x-love))
Okay, the next time I come up with a bright idea like this five-POV fic, tell me not to do it. Because there's a point where writing the same scene five times -- and I'm only on number three, oh my God -- gets old. And, no, I can't just copypaste, because they all notice different things. It's at the point where Edmund just tunes the whole ceremony out.

*beats head into desk* After this? Something fun. I vote for Caspian in the Golden Age, although apparently the rest of you vote for immortal Susan and resurrected Peter. (I, uh, have a plot now.)

"In Constellated Wars" (part one, Peter POV): 5,872 words
"Gone Under the Hill" (part two, Susan POV): 7,231 words
"Of Dead Secrets" (part three, Edmund POV): 8,570 words (!!!)

Okay, you know what? At least I know exactly where Lucy is through all of this and her POV's probably going to be the shortest, because I kept her with Susan the entire time. And then we have Caspian, and actually, at this point, I kind of feel sorry for him, since every single one of the Pevensies yells at him at some point in this story. Poor Caspian. Next thing I write? You'll get laid.

GUYS I HAVE FINISHED MY HAT.

I fondly call it my Edmund Pevensie cap. )

And...I'll just copy my Ravelry post about it:

After seeing The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, I wanted to knit something – anything! And barring a scarf, the closest thing was the cap Edmund is wearing in England. I used the Headline News - Cabled Newsboy Cap from Stitch ‘n’ Bitch Nation as a guideline and did everything except cables; I did the body of the cap in stockinette instead. The cap came out a little big for me, even with my hair in a ponytail; I might try running elastic through the brim to make it tighter. I didn’t have any plastic mesh for the brim, so I used cardboard instead – specifically, the piece of cardboard stuck in calendars to keep them flat, cut down to size.

Now what will I knit while I'm laboring over my Susan fanmix?

(Ha, I should probably mention my hat is 100% wool. Very useful for New Orleans in August, yes? *dry*)
