I do not have high hopes for Caspian's POV ("In a Dark Wood") being one of the shorter ones. The boy's too confused; he has to ruminate on everything.

On the other hand, he is ruminating on Narnian/Telmarine legends, so at least it's interesting.

On the other other hand, he thinks in faux-high fantasy style, so there goes that.

(Hey, on the fourth hand -- foot? -- I have no idea how he's going to refer to Peter and Co., since he's still not convinced that Peter's actually, (a), one of the four children who broke the Long winter, (b), the King of Summer from Narnian fairytales, (c), the High King of Narnia from Telmarine history, or (d), some combination of the above. Or (e), an imposter. That boy is suspicious.)

You know, judging from the most recent antics of my crazy characters, my Caspian conspiracy theory is about two steps from actually being part of my personal canon.

CASPIAN. THAT'S NOT VERY NICE.

Suddenly I think I might have been wrong, and what we see in Caspian in PC isn't naivete at all, it's inexperience mixed with culture shock to the nth degree. Because seriously, there's so much culture shock there it isn't even funny, and it's about fifty different kinds of it, too. (I mean, you have the Narnians, and then you have the Pevensies, who are caught between two different cultures themselves, England and Old Narnian, which is completely different from the New Narnians, so basically everyone has culture shock. But Caspian especially.)
