Sep. 14th, 2008 03:04 pmSo I finished reading Beowulf and now I kind of want to write Narnian epic poetry. You know, the kind that goes, Peter, Summer's King, High King of Narnia / who brought spring to Narnia / in the days of long winter / rode from his great castle / Cair Paravel by the sea / the white city, with his sword / lion-headed Rhindon, bound in gold / and magic, gifted by Father / Christmas when Peter and his kin / came to Narnia as children / answering the country's call for / salvation from the White Witch / Jadis, who called herself / Empress and Queen of fair Narnia / locked in eternal winter until / Peter, Summer's King, brought spring / and victory.
Except. I think I'd kind of end up wanting to hurt something after about a page of that.
