Stop the presses! Caspian has managed to learn that the world does not revolve around him. *is shocked*

This would be an interesting story to tell from two POVs, except I swore I'd never do that again after "In Constellated Wars." But still...

*sigh* Actually, to get the transitory aspect of the Caspian of "In Constellaed Wars" and the Caspian of "Once More for the Ages" that y'all keep asking for, I probably would have to do this from Caspian's POV, because all we're getting now is Edmund going, "Good, he's not so annoying, maybe I won't have to kill him and call it an accident after all," and cutting himself open (for, uh, unrelated reasons).

Look, see?

“The High King is in Narnia,” Caspian insists, and keeps talking even when the nix hits him again, spitting the words out along with blood and a shard of broken tooth. “The High King is at Aslan’s How, answering the call of Queen Susan’s horn. Peter of Narnia is here.”

“Lying Telmarine bastard!” the nix declares as Edmund revises his opinion of Caspian substantially.

Okay, is that when it is? Because I honestly do not remember; that whole bit kind of jumbles together in my head, and the last time I saw PC I was sleep-deprived and evacuating New Orleans and also, on an airplane and the couple in front of me kept making out, which made it a little hard to see the little tiny screen. And before that I hadn't seen it since June.

It's between the second council of war and before Edmund delivering the message to Miraz. It actually starts at the second council of war; Edmund is wearing full armor when he goes to visit Miraz.

I just realized we were talking about two differnt things. I thought we were still talking about Peter/Narnia(/Edmund) and you were talking about "The Bones Prayer". oh, my brain. It is so retarded some times. Sorry for all the confusion.

Thats when I guessed "The Bones Prayer" took place.

Oh, the Peter/Narnia(/Edmund) immediately follows "Bone".

Although it may be a little AU now. *shrugs*

Er, you asked about why Peter was looking at maps up above. He's looking at plans of the How; he's coming up with the plan to bring down the tunnels and cripple the Telmarine cavalry.

I figured it was something like that, though I always thought that it was Edmund who actually thought of the collapsing thing. Though I guess Edmund could have come up with it and Peter actually figured out how to do it. Though it seems more likely that Peter would be like, "We should do this!" and Edmund we be all, "Now let me figure out how."
Example:
Peter: We can't stay here. We need to ATTACK THE CASTLE!
Edmund: Yes, exactly, for all of these very logical reasons.

That's not the mechanics of it, though, that's the why. Peter's the military genius, not Edmund. Anyone can say, "We should do this," but Peter's the one to figure out how. And that's a completely different scenario; it's Edmund translating the necessity of the action so that others understand why they're doing it.
