You know, I swear I used to have the ability to write academic papers. Really, I did. Why was I so much better at this in high school? (It would probably also help if any of the writing I did in high school -- "this is how you will have to write papers in college! Pull in outside sources!" -- was the type of writing I was doing in college, but no. No, Tulane has to be contrary. Or I'm just bad at choosing classes.)
This is coming off a pair of B's on papers in two different classes (Literary Investigations, where I just got a straight-up B, and The Ancient Novel, where I got an 89. GIVE ME THE ONE EXTRA POINT). I just...I feel like this was so much easier in high school.
Anyway, sort of on that note, in the sense that perhaps this will help my work ethic, do any of y'all have good blog recs? I know you medievalist people do. *puppy dog eyes* Fun, informative, completely in love with the subject matter but doesn't concentrate on it all the time?
The only non-fannish blog I read is Crazy Aunt Purl, which is occasionally a knitting blog.
