You know, the one thing about leaving at an absurdly early hour is that there's not so much sitting around and waiting, which usually I wouldn't mind so much since I'm in my own dorm room and not sitting in an airport somewhere, but I keep worrying my RA will come in here and kick me out (but the dorms close at 9! my fears are not rational) or that I haven't really prepared the room that well to leave (my RA or someone else in the dorms that's still here left their clothes in the dryers last night, meaning I could not dry the towels I used to defrost the fridge, which means that they are soaking wet and hung up in various places around the room to dry, and they cannot be on the towel racks in the bathroom because there can be nothing in the bathroom -- and I only just got up to take the bathmat out, I'd forgotten about it), and anyway, there's not much to do -- my knitting is packed, the books I'm taking are packed, the TV is unplugged, there's no one else here, [personal profile] aella_irene is not online, but on the bright side, I'm leaving the room in fifteen to twenty minutes. *dramatic sigh*

Also, I keep wondering if I should have packed The Crafting of Narnia. Didn't I just say something about my fears not being rational? I really want to watch LWW right now...but I already packed that. Also, time.

Hey, what do you mean, I could write? Don't be silly!

In less me bitching news, thank you to all on the congrats for the somewhat less than exciting news that I passed a class! Except I was really worried about that one, for my language requirement, and I was already making plans in my head to retake it over the summer at Central.

I would start with a joke about knowing I'm in Seattle because it's raining, but then again, I just left Louisiana with her record amount of rain for a month halfway through the month.

You know, the bad news about having free wifi at all these airports (I suddenly love traveling during the holidays: they want to be nice to you) is that I haven't gotten any of Dust 18 done. Okay, that's a lie. I got 220 words written. I hate them a lot.

Also, I have noticed that I commonly start a lot of chapters/stories by talking about rain. My version of "It was a dark and stormy night"? (This is, by the way, how we got the neverending rainstorms in Dust. I just started one chapter talking about rain. You know, as I do.)

Right. I think I'll erase those 220 words and start with...fog. Because there was some really intense fog in New Orleans Sunday and Monday.
