Guys, I have just thought of something that makes my day so much better.

Due to certain of Lewis's subplots, Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be forced to include Caspian and Edmund in chains.

Let's dwell on that image for a minute, shall we?

It doesn't quite make up for not having Peter, of course.

And who the hell are the band of lost warriors? I'm not so sure about this Will Poulter guy, either. I'm even less certain about Michael Apted, the new director. (WHY ADAMSON WHY? Look at Peter Jackson! It's not going to kill your career to direct all of Narnia!)

But on the other hand...Caspian and Edmund in chains. (Well, and Lucy and Eustace, of course, but Caspian and Edmund.)

I think the 'band of lost warriors' is probably the Seven Lords, or maybe just the last three of them.

Yes, and Caspian gets bought and taken off to be released, spending the night in safety; while Edmund gets to stay in chains, all pretty and vulnerable and with a saractic mouth on him and you know what THAT means.

Oh, and Lucy and Eustace, too. But nobody's gonna even look at them. *waves hand in airy dismissal*

I figure, even if the movie sucks...well, at least we'll have some pretty pictures to look at and new fuel for fics. We can ignore the rest and live in happy denial-land.(I've got a mansion there already.)

Ineptshieldmaid & I were talking about the potential for Caspian/Edmund in the next movie & she's quite disturbed by the hammocks they sleep in. They make the logistics of sex extremely difficult.

That is totally Aslan's fault. Too old? Whatever, just admit you don't want them to go back! Or it is just that Lewis felt that the character is too out of control. Either way, Peter will still NOT be there.

Ah, yes, I have read your Aslan conspiracy theory carefully and was totally intrigued! Although I may not be started from the same place as you, I do feel that Peter would be too difficult to control for Aslan in the end. Susan, too. That's why he promptly threw them out of Narnia and told them they could never come back. In my eyes, or Aslan's, for that matter, Peter's biggest problem is that he doesn't simply "wait for Aslan faithfully" if situation is dire enough, he seemed to have no problem at all taking matters in his own hands. I bet Aslan really abhors this. Well, it maybe my biased/prejudiced/demented mind speaking, but really, I only envision Lucy to be faithful to Aslan in absolute terms. The others, they all strayed at one point or another. And I absolutely love it when you said "Peter's loyalty does not lie with Aslan, but with Narnia". It wasn't exactly my way of looking at it (well, I have to admit I am wearing rosy glasses when I look at the fantasy world, and my Narnia will be so much more fairytale-like than yours), but your idea is totally ingenious and fascinating! I am so eager for your new fic.

Since it is apparent you like Caspian all tied up and pretty... Thought I should let you know I just put up a drive-by pron snippet to that effect. It's flocked, because as it stands it's a) porn without plot and b) not as good as I'd like. 'Twill be rewritten at a later stage, with bonus plot, but there's another fic has to be written before I can get this one right.

In the meantime, you're on my flist, so you can enjoy Caspian tied up and begging all you please...

I bet Narnia REFUSED to marry Tirian, didn't she? She wouldn't even prompt him to what he should be doing to bond with her, preferring to suffer alone than to tie herself down to HIM.

The question is, does Tirian know that he *should*, and is therefore afraid because he's failed in that vatsly important aspect of his duties? (Basically, he's a eunich in Narnia's eyes, not MAN enough to either pleasure or fertilize her. *snaps fingers*) Or has that knowledge been re-lost, again, over the last however many generations?

I think he should know that something's wrong -- did they even do the initial bonding, or did Narnia reject him straight out? -- and live in fear that Narnia knows something he doesn't. Either that something's wrong with him...or something's wrong with her.

Something *is* wrong with her, but that doesn't mean that something's not wrong with *him*, too. Narnia is all woman, you know, and Tirian's not virile enough for her. His best friend's a boy uniorn named Jewel, ok?


I was thinking about Rilian at dinner...wondering how his long captivity would have affected him in regards to forming the bond. He was old enough when he was bespelled to have known what he'd have to do when the time came, the royal "facts of life" speech. So when he escaped and came home to have his father die and thrust kingship upon him...would he be able to do it?

Rilian loves Narnia deeply; it's thoughts of her that kept him relatively sane and got him through his ordeal without turning him into a "victim". But-how would he react to being "bound" to an entity like that, after being subject to mental manipulation by the witch for so long? How would he react to the fertility ritual and the loss of bodily control and choice that it would require, so soon after regaining his again? Yes, he'd know that it was for the country's good, and want to do it; but could he? Would he put it off until it became urgent and then force himself to do it, perhaps creating a weaker bond than it would have been if he'd been willing?

And it could have devolved from there, a result of unfortunate circumstances that gained momemtum over the centuries. *muses*
